Teen Voices Against Violence

Teen Voices Against Violence is a group of teens from Middle Tennessee who serve as the Coalition's youth advisors. This group began in February 2008, and assisted in the development of the Promoting Gender Respect curriculum for middle school boys. The group is now working on a variety of projects that they themselves have initiated.

Each fall, the group seeks new members. If you are a high school student in Middle Tennessee and are interested in participating, please download this an application by clicking here, and return it to the Coalition. If you have any questions, please contact Emily Hall at 615-386-9406 or ehall@tcadsv.org.

What is Teen Voices Against Violence all about?

The members of Teen Voices Against Violence have determined the following purpose, values and goal for the group:

We are here to inform, fix, and prevent domestic and sexual violence by having the conversation that teens don't want to have and by adding a youth perspective to the Coalition's mission.

Core Values

Respect for the Youth voice

Power

Strength

Goal

We will change social norms that support dating violence and sexual violence by teaching consent and healthy relationship skills to Nashville teens.
