Teen Voices Against ViolenceTeen Voices Against Violence is a group of teens from Middle Tennessee who serve as the Coalition's youth advisors. This group began in February 2008, and assisted in the development of the Promoting Gender Respect curriculum for middle school boys. The group is now working on a variety of projects that they themselves have initiated. Each fall, the group seeks new members. If you are a high school student in Middle Tennessee and are interested in participating, please download this an application by clicking here, and return it to the Coalition. The members of Teen Voices Against Violence have determined the following purpose, values and goal for the group:
Statement of Purpose We are here to inform, fix, and prevent domestic and sexual violence by having the conversation that teens don't want to have and by adding a youth perspective to the Coalition's mission.
Core Values Stopping Violence Love Respect each other Respect for the Youth voice Power Strength
Goal We will change social norms that support dating violence and sexual violence by teaching consent and healthy relationship skills to Nashville teens.
